Product Description:

The Pulsar® R86 Radar Level Transmitter is the latest generation of Magnetrol loop-powered 24 VDC level transmitters. It features a longer measurement range, circular polarization, advanced self-diagnostics, and is easier to use than most loop-powered radar transmitters.

Applications:

Chemical, crude oil processing, renewable energy, water and wastewater treatment, power generation, petroleum refining, pulp and paper.

Features:

(1) Performance independent of process conditions (unaffected by changes in specific gravity and dielectric constant);

(2) 26 GHz operating frequency provides superior accuracy and resolution;

(3) Antenna design +750 °F (+400 °C);

(4) Measurement range up to 130 feet (40 meters);

(5) Quick connect/disconnect probe sleeve allows the vessel to remain sealed at all times;

(6) Capable of achieving SIL 2, with a Safe Failure Fraction (SFF) = 93.2% (FMEDA approval required);

Working Principle:

PULSAR transmitter technology is based on pulsed radar technology and equivalent time sampling circuitry. 26 GHz microwave energy is transmitted and continuously reflected from the liquid surface.
